Background

My interest in this project is twofold, I am fond of music so having a lamp that reacts to music when I’m in my room would be nice. Being able to experiment with different sounds and sound levels is interesting to me. Additionally, I am fond of light shows at concerts, so this project makes the most sense to me.

The inspiration for this project stems from searching through the instructables website and seeing various VU meters as well as unique 3D printed lamps. Seeing the two of these objects sparked the idea of putting them together and creating a unique lamp that reacts to music.
